Been a hot minute since I updated anything properly. Been a bit of a slow go on the productivity front lately.

BUT.

But.

I don't know if I mentioned that I swapped my Linux distro from Mint to CachyOS (guys. guys. I use arch btw), but holy shit the difference is night and day. I like Mint well enough, it was a good starting point, but... holy shit CachyOS just kicks it in the shins. It was a breeze to set up, it runs CRAZY well, and things just WORK. On Mint, I'd have to piddle around a lot with compatibility configs to get things working if it wasn't Linux native, do an hour of dependancy archeology, then maybe get it running half assed. My biggest hang up with my Linux swap was Rocksmith. That game is notoriously fussy about being on Windows and only Windows and it'll have a bed sharting tantrum if it's not. I never got it working on Mint.

It worked out of the box on Cachy.

When I gathered the courage to set up my Focusrite with it, it only took a few hours of file wrangling and it was working. Then I promptly broke it when I installed CDLC incorrectly, but after using the correct version of wine to install it, I now have my beloved guitar game running. ON LINUX.

And I wrote up a guide on how to do it that hopefully might help someone having the same struggle I did. It's in the new Articles section under Shortform in the nav bar.

Other than that, the poll and status widgets I had before kept breaking, so had to get rid of them. :/ Chat still kind of works? Errors up the bum, but it seems to function, idk.

Either way, we'll see if I can get any cool Halloween content out before the month is over. :p
